Checking space and bandwidth used, administration of your domain, creation and forwarding email accounts, FTP access, query usage statistics or management of scripts and some useful applications. All this and much more, always depending on the hosting plan we have contracted.

As we said, running a control panel should be intuitive and easy to handle, and no need for this expertise. Also, usually, is the control panel it is, this will come with a manual that will help you handle yourself for it.

Today there are several examples of software control panel. The three best known are Cpnel, Plesk and DirectAdmin. Many web hosting companies include one or more of them in their hosting plans. Cpanel control panel is the most used and preferred by most webmasters, but this always depends on the preferences and needs of each.

Another option is that the web hosting company has created its own control panel, usually more personalized services they offer and demanding customers. This way you can find a good control panel that meets your needs, although, as elsewhere, there are better and worse.
